The AGIS Student Leadership and Agency Working Group was formed a little over 2 years ago with the idea to start discussions about what student leadership roles and expectations looked like across AGIS schools. This Full-Day Session would like to explore prevalent leadership topics, as well as, a collaborative session with the Counselor Working Group to explore DEIJB topics through student leadership initiatives.

First Session
09:30-10:00: Welcome Coffee - Student Leadership and Agency Work Group and conference
participants meet: Leadership skills for the 21st Century - ice breaker
10:00-11:00: Young Leaders Conference - the potential to foster student engagement in all
divisions.
11:00-12:30: Every voice counts - building self worth, creative problem solving and 21st Century
leadership skills for all students
12:30-13:30: Lunch

Second Session part A - Counselor Working Group collaboration session
13:30-15:30: Student Leadership initiatives and opportunities to address DEIJB within schools from
Primary, Middle, and Secondary Schools perspectives. A collaborative session with the
School Counselor working group.
15:30-16:00: Coffee Break

Second Session part B
16:00-17:00: End of day plenary and wrap-up - Creative brainstorming and problem solving. Initiating
student voice and agency at my school.
