Have you ever struggled with getting all of the necessary components of a balanced literacy programme into your daily and weekly schedule? How is it possible to get reading, writing, grammar, phonics, and even handwriting into the packed schedule, but also allow for ample student agency and choice? In this session, I will share what we have implemented in grades 1-6 at the International School of Augsburg that has allowed us to create a balanced, efficient, and effective model for literacy.
